"Qian was the daughter of either Lung Tien Ming or Lung Tien Zhi, and the granddaughter of Lung Tien Xian." Perhaps I got lost in all this discussion (it's all over the place), but I don't see any reason to state this in the article as a fact, especially with Qian saying she was "hatched of Xian". It's great to see all the work you've put into this but we have to be careful to separate facts from speculation.Natli 03:40, 18 August 2010 (PDT)

I agree with you on that; let's add a "possibly" to that sentence. To put it briefly, what I discovered as I went through was that there was no way for Xian to be Qian's father (unless dragons further down the family tree have perished) as there would only have been three generations of Celestials, or another Celestial in line for the throne before Chuan. Qian may be being poetic when she says she was "hatched of Xian" (meaning instead she is of his line). Personally, I always thought Xian was female, because she describes Chu as siring Lien in the same sentence, so why would she describe Xian differently.
I've mentioned the possibility that Xian is a different dragon on that page. Almaron 04:24, 18 August 2010 (PDT)
Argh. Maybe one of us should actually ask NN about the family tree sometime. I don't entirely agree that *all* of Grandfather's descendants are nec'ly still present, esp. if his lifespan spans the Ming-to-Qing dynastic switchover in the mid-17th century. I started to hash this out in more detail, but it got too long and I'll put it on my Talk page instead. --Wombat1138 11:26, 18 August 2010 (PDT)
