Of all the...!!!

the sheer nerve and temerity to refer to the Jiaqing Emperor as Jiaqing, as if it were his name!!!

Incredibly egregious. I have made the appropriate edits. -- James Sunderland

Historical notes[edit]

Ideally, I'd like to maintain more of a separation between the information presented by NN and the extra historical background we're scooping up elsewhere-- NN never uses Mianmu's or Mianxin's names, so putting those in the main section might confuse people. (And I should go back to Mianning's article and dump his mother's name down to the historical background section.) --Wombat1138 19:16, 8 September 2010 (PDT)

Dragon Companion[edit]

I think it's safe to say that his companion is either Ming or Zhi, as they are the only options left. We know his companion is male, and according to Qian, there are only six male Celestials. Xiang and Chuan are ruled out, as they are already paired off. Grandfather is too old to be the companion that Laurence sees. Since Chu is Lien's father, this means he was companion to an emperor before the Jiaqing Emperor. This leaves either Ming or Zhi. Almaron 04:03, 10 September 2010 (PDT)
