She is not rich and can't be called honorable except for her marriage. She wants to procure [[Laurence]] to one of the girls in Sydney but Laurence refuses. She is an agreable neighbour at table when she takes part in the dinner of Elizabeth MacArthur. She talks much without caution or tact. She is impressed by people who have visited many countries and she perceives Australia and the rest of the world as a great adventure.
