Story[edit]
"Feast or Famine" is a short story taking place in between His Majesty's Dragon and Throne of Jade. It has not been published in any form as of yet, but it can be read on the official Temeraire website.
Synopsis[edit]
Early one morning, Temeraire makes his way to the feeding pens of the Dover Covert, only to find that the herdsmen who feed them are still asleep, and without them to open the pen, there is no way to get breakfast without causing a ruckus. Maximus arrives, also hungry, and the two attempt to open the gate without breaking it. Eventually getting it open, they manage to get their breakfast, but unfortunately, they also release the entire herd of cows and sheep into the wild.
