Biography

Artemisa may in fact be an error for Animosia, Sanderson's dragon. When Jane Roland asks Emily Roland if Sanderson has given her leave from her post, Emily replies that Artemisia "can only fly an hour at a time." This would fit with Animosia's state of health, as she is still recovering from the Dragon Plague at the time.
