Post-NYCC Fan Gathering: Naomi Novik, Peter V. Brett, Myke Cole, Robin Hobb & Sam Sykes

The Random House Entrance

The Random House Entrance

On Monday, October 13th from 11:00am-1:00pm (the day after the New York Comic Con), the fine people at Random House will be hosting several authors at their offices for an informal meet-and-greet for fans.

This is an idea from Robin Hobb. Whenever she travels, she tells fans over Facebook to meet her at a local café to get books signed. It’s an informal coffee klatch-type event, for fans who can’t make it to her formal event.

Random House offered to host her NYC coffee-klatch. And invited more writers to attend!

As you probably figured out by the picture above, Naomi will be taking part in this extraordinary and rare event. She will be joined by Robin, Peter V. Brett, Myke Cole, and Sam Sykes. It should make for one interesting discussion!

The gathering will be at Random House. Here is the address:

Random House
1745 Broadway (between 55th and 56th streets)
New York, NY 10019
USA

Someone will be stationed downstairs for the entire time (11am-1pm) directing people to the appropriate floor. This will be a revolving door event, so no need to get there at any particular time within that 2 hour period. Readers can show up anytime between 11am-1pm. Important To Note: Random House will not be selling books at this event. You are encouraged to bring any books you wish signed. But Random House will be stocking the first-in-series book for every attending author to give away free!

To attend, simply send an RSVP email to DelRey@randomhouse.com with the subject line RSVP!

UPDATE: When you send your email requesting RSVP, Random House needs your first and last names. On the day of the event, you will need to bring a photo ID to check in at the front desk. The event is being held on the 2nd Floor Club Room, where Random House will have coffee and tea.

So if you live in New York City or if you will be in the city on October 13th, definitely attend this event. Not only will you see the interior of Random House but meet these amazing authors!

And get free books!

Signed!
