Posted Prologue: Crucible of Gold

Today’s nur-ne-nur-ne-nur moment from yours truly is that Naomi Novik has delivered the manuscript for Crucible of Gold, the seventh book in her Temerairet series, which means I get to steal off to a quiet corner and immerse myself in reading for the next two days! The manuscript still needs to go through copyediting, proofreading, and printing, which of course means that the world will not see it until next spring (it goes on sale March 6, 2012), but I HAVE PITY ON YOU. Yes, I remember what it was like to be a mere mortal who had to wait (and wait and wait and wait) until my favorite author’s next book hit the shelves. So we’ve posted the Prologue to the novel right here on Naomi’s website—please take a look and let us know what you think!

And for those of you reading the series in mass market paperback, Book 6, Tongues of Serpents, has just gone on sale. Enjoy!

Yay. Thank you very much!
Looks like the book does not loose any time to continue the story. I want more!
8 months??? Why did you have to remind me? Curse you!

Thank you for a date.

But, oh my god, still 8 months? :(
German version fall 2012 then i think.

Guess i go with the english book then.

Want more by the way :>.

I just finished book 6. Was taking my time because I new it would be awhile for book 7. Now 4+ months and I’ve been reading the paperback and that will be longer. May have to see if they have a down load able version and look at saving a tree. Great books and have enjoyed reading all of them so far.
