Posted Prologue: Crucible of Gold

Today’s nur-ne-nur-ne-nur moment from yours truly is that Naomi Novik has delivered the manuscript for Crucible of Gold, the seventh book in her Temerairet series, which means I get to steal off to a quiet corner and immerse myself in reading for the next two days! The manuscript still needs to go through copyediting, proofreading, and printing, which of course means that the world will not see it until next spring (it goes on sale March 6, 2012), but I HAVE PITY ON YOU. Yes, I remember what it was like to be a mere mortal who had to wait (and wait and wait and wait) until my favorite author’s next book hit the shelves. So we’ve posted the Prologue to the novel right here on Naomi’s website—please take a look and let us know what you think!

And for those of you reading the series in mass market paperback, Book 6, Tongues of Serpents, has just gone on sale. Enjoy!

Nice prologue here… I can’t wait to get the book. I have also some ideas about who could be this old enemy.

I just finished book 6. Was taking my time because I new it would be awhile for book 7. Now 4+ months and I’ve been reading the paperback and that will be longer. May have to see if they have a down load able version and look at saving a tree. Great books and have enjoyed reading all of them so far.
